Scorpion Morpheus Reversible Jacket

The Morpheus Reversible jacket from Scorpion EXO® offers two distinct looks, for the price of one!

The lightweight polyester side offers water resistance to shield you from the elements when riding, yet maintains a casual look off the bike. When you’re ready to amp up the style, reverse the jacket to the flannel side, which features a comfortable, brushed cotton material. Both sides are internally reinforced with a 600D abrasion resistant material and removable CE rated elbow armor. The Morpheus jacket from Scorpion EXO® allows you to Morph your style, not your standards.

Sizing Information

We tried the size Medium in this jacket on Huey and we put an XL jacket on Dewey. These are the sizes they normally wear and both fit very well. Finding a fit in this style won’t be difficult. The overall style is simple and the jacket is fairly relaxed in fit. I’d advise you choose the size you normally wear in men’s clothing.

You can also use the chart below to choose a size based upon your chest and/or belly/waist measurements. I added an estimated “max belly” measurement too. Like I said above, this is a relaxed style so most people won’t have trouble with the belly size (like they might with a trim sport style), but if you have a bit of a belly it wouldn’t hurt to put a tape around it and make sure you are OK with the size you’ve chosen.

Size Max Chest Max Belly Sleeve Length (from center of collar in back)
Small 36-38 36 32
Medium 38-42 38 33
Large 42-44 42 34
XL 44-46 44 35
XXL 46-48 46 36
XXXL 48-50 48 37

Our Two Cents

This Scorpion Morpheus reversible jacket is something else.

We’ve never seen a garment like this before, and the execution on this one might show why we have not seen it before. Basically, you have a water resistant, windproof polyester side, and a windproof flannel side. The abrasion resistance is a layer in between the two but only at the elbows, shoulders, and back. So if you hit the pavement and miss those areas you have a shredded jacket that is no longer on you as you glide along losing a good amount of skin I would imagine.

For armor, they supply you with SAS-TEC Flex armor in the elbows and that’s it. There are pockets for the shoulders and back but there is a rub with that as well. The pockets for all the armor are zip closure, but there is NO PULL TAB on the zipper car. Basically, you have to use your fingernail to push the car to where you are able to grab it and open it or close it. Move it too far in one direction or the other and that pocket might as well be permanently open or closed. We here at MotorcycleGear are really scratching our heads on this one, what the hell were they thinking?

On the polyester side, you get two zippered hand warmer pockets and one snap chest pocket. On the flannel side, you get two buttoned hand warmer pockets and two buttoned chest pockets. The flannel layer acts as a thermal liner and you have two large underarm zippered vents that you can open to flow some air. These vent zips and the main zip are two sided so you can use them in either configuration. The collar also is reversible with magnets on the lapels so it will stay in position with either side out. The flannel side has buttons over the zipper, but they are not usable (unless you snap them backwards before zipping?) when you have the polyester side out.

This jacket would theoretically work for cool weather and I assume it is geared towards cruiser riders. But we have a few on staff here at the shop and every one of them says this one is a dud. We suggest you look elsewhere for a style that is better thought out. :: Mike, 1/11/2022 (more about less-than-favorable reviews)
