Sizing Information

This jacket is a standard cut street jacket and it fits a bit more relaxed than other Roland Sands styles. We measured a selection of sizes and also tried these on our fit test mannequins. Huey is wearing a medium and Dewey is in the XL. These are the sizes they normally wear. The fit looks good.

I’d advise to choose the size you normally wear in men’s clothing. To make size selection easier, we’ve developed the chart below to help you choose a size based upon your chest and belly measurements. If you have a bit of a belly, just make sure that the jacket you choose will be big enough for both your chest and belly.

Note: if you plan to add a back protector to this jacket, then add 1” to the chest/belly measurements before choosing a size.

Jacket Size Max Chest Max Belly
Small 38 36
Medium 40 38
Large 43 41
XL 46 44
XXL 48 46
XXXL 51 49

Our Two Cents

The Bronson jacket is a sharp denim style with a leather collar. Functionally, it is VERY similar to the Ramone textile jacket which uses heavy canvas. The denim material used in this jacket is lighter than most styles and will naturally breath well.

The Bronson jacket does have provisions for the addition of protective armor. The armor is made by Forcefield and is nice stuff. The armor pieces themselves are a three ply arrangement which allows them to flex and mold to your body shape easily. Have a look below to choose armor for the shoulders, elbows and back.

The front closure on the jacket is with traditional buttons (like a Levi trucker style), but behind that is a main zipper. The zipper will be useful in case of a fall to keep the jacket from popping open. To help you reach for the controls on a bike, this jacket has an “action back” setup behind the shoulders. The liner of the jacket is a sharp gold satin which is sharp. I think you’ll like how this jacket is very flexible and lighter than most, which makes it a very comfortable style to wear. :: Paul, 03-23-18

Roland Sands says: An instant classic, a working-class staple, the denim jacket. An all American jacket design that has stood the test of time. The Bronson Jacket by RSD is all of these things but with specific features that make it motorcycle functional yet all day wearable. Features like rotated, pre-curved sleeves, front zip closure, action back gussets and armor pockets make the Bronson ready for action while the classic button front storm flap, genuine leather collar and silicone washed denim ensure it will look just as good off the bike.
