REV'IT! Quantum Jacket :: MotorcycleGear.com

REV'IT! Quantum Jacket (Sold Out)

The Quantum takes sport style to a new level and incorporates features used by some of the top riders in the world. The MotoGP-influenced jacket comes with dual comp shoulder parts along with replaceable elbow sliders. Giving it its street cred – meaning, making sure you can wear it when you’re not on the track – is the inclusion of a detachable thermal liner. That way, colder mornings won’t be an issue. When the weather warms up, take it out and let the perforated panels promote airflow to the upper body. Award-winning SEEFLEX™ CE-level 2 limb protection is found at the shoulders and elbows. Furthermore, you can upgrade the Quantum’s armor in two different ways: via the SEESOFT™ CE-level 2 back protector insert or via the SEESOFT™ CE-level 1 divided chest protector inserts.

Sizing Information

We brought in samples of these jackets and measured them and also tried them on our Fit Check mannequins Huey and Dewey. We put a 52 on Huey and a 56 on Dewey (typically they’d wear a 42/Med and 46/XL US size), and the sizes we chose give a snug/sport fit. Both look and fit great (click the “View Larger Images” link above to see).

To help you choose a size based upon your chest and belly measurements, I’ve included the size chart below. It is based upon REVIT’s standard size chart and we think it is just about right. Also we’ve included a waist/belly measurement. If you have a larger belly, you’ll want to make sure you are buying a jacket that is large enough to accommodate you. If your belly is smaller than the max size indicated in the chart for the chest size you choose, just use the adjustment straps to customize the fit with no problem. A jacket like this looks great with the waist adjusters in a bit.

Note: If you plan to add a back protector add 1” to both your chest and belly measurements before using the chart. If you plan to add chest armor, add an additional 1 inch to your chest.

Our Two Cents

Wow, the styling on this Quantum Air jacket by REVIT is something else! It’s a leather race jacket and armor is everywhere!

The styling of this jacket will be the overwhelming selling feature. It is really something. It’s hard to appreciate unless you see it in person. The leather used on the torso and arms is leather, and it’s 3D printed with a honeycomb pattern which gives it a futuristic and flashy look. And then add the splash paint job and you’ve got over-the-top styling!

The jacket offers an armor package that throws everything but the kitchen sink at it. Start with CE 2 inserts in the shoulders and elbows and then attach molded plastic sliders on the elbows and shoulders. And then you can add an optional back protector and finally optional chest armor. In all, that’s about everything REVIT makes in terms of armor enhancement. The jacket really is the top half of a one-piece suit. But practically speaking, it’s geared for everyday street use too. For example, the jacket-to-pant attachment options are there if you want to zip to REVIT sports pants. There is the short rear zipper and also the all-around zipper to do that. But if you just want to run the jacket with jeans, there is a loop in back to hook around your belt. Another option is REVIT’s Safeway belt which allows you to use the short rear zipper along with riding jeans for a more secure connection (see the link below).

Another street-use creature comfort is the removable vest thermal liner. For cooler weather, you can install that vest liner to add some insulation. If you add layers of your own underneath, you could cover most temp ranges of the year with this jacket (except wet weather… for that, you’ll need a rain jacket over the top). The front has two zip close pockets and there is one inside wallet/phone pocket.

Comfort-wise, you’ll like the neoprene edges around the collar and also at the ends of the sleeves. Those will help with break-in. And above the elbows and behind the shoulders are leather expansion section to help you move around easily. The underarm areas and insides of the arms are fitted with sturdy stretch material, so you have the snug race fit, but still be comfortable.

Is this the jacket for you? There’s no question it has the features of a great sport/race jacket. But the styling will be the decision maker. :: Paul, 02-08-19
