REV'IT! 2022 Apex Jacket

We brought in samples of these jackets and measured them and also tried them on our Fit Check mannequins Huey and Dewey. We put a 52 on Huey and a 56 on Dewey (typically they’d wear a 42/Med and 46/XL US size), and the sizes we chose give a snug/sport fit. Both look and fit great (click the “View Larger Images” link above to see).

To help you choose a size based upon your chest and belly measurements, I’ve included the size chart below. It is based upon REVIT’s standard size chart and we think it is just about right. Also we’ve included a waist/belly measurement. If you have a larger belly, you’ll want to make sure you are buying a jacket that is large enough to accommodate you. If your belly is smaller than the max size indicated in the chart for the chest size you choose, just use the adjustment straps to customize the fit with no problem. A jacket like this looks great with the waist adjusters in a bit.

Note: If you plan to add a back protector add 1” to both your chest and belly measurements before using the chart. If you plan to add chest armor, add an additional 1” to your chest.

The REV’IT! Apex Jacket is a new sport style leather jacket. The Apex Jacket is essentially the top half of the REV’IT! Apex 1 piece suit, so if you pair it with the REV’IT! Apex Pants you have a 2 piece suit!

The Apex Jacket has perforations on the chest, sides, and back of the main body, and on the back of the sleeves. There is also 3D mesh around the collar to pull some airflow to the upper body. Inside the jacket there is a back protector pocket (see related products below for back protector options) made from 3D mesh material which gives keeps some space between your back and the protector for airflow. There is also a removable thermal vest liner to keep you warm on cool morning rides.

As mentioned, there is a pocket for an optional back protector and there are also 2 pockets for optional chest protectors. The elbows and shoulders have SeeFlex™ CE level 2 armor and TPU external protectors. The elbow and shoulder armor are inside pockets with thin 3D mesh backing for improved airflow under the armor as well. There is one reflective strip at the lower back for nighttime visibility. The jacket has some stretch material on the arms and accordion stretch panels on the shoulders for flexibility in the riding position. The only adjustments are at the waist in the form of two hook and loop tabs that allow you to take the waist in by up to 4”.

There are two hand pockets at the belly, one internal pocket on the thermal liner, one internal napoleon pocket, and two small internal pockets below the chest armor pockets. That’s a lot of pockets for a sport style jacket! A short and long connection zipper as well as two belt loops are included for easy pairing with your favorite riding pants.

The REV’IT! Apex Jacket is styled for sport riders and could be used as a track day jacket if needed. With the optional armor or if you decided to use an airbag vest underneath you would have excellent protection in a stylish and flexible leather shell. The thermal liner will help you take this jacket on cool to warm weather rides. If you’re riding in extreme heat you might want to consider more venting though! :: Mike, 07/29/2022
