Sizing Information

This jacket has the same chassis as the Hypersport Prime jacket, so I’ve borrowed the sizing advice we developed for that jacket: These jackets fit well, but there wasn’t a lot of room for error in the waist/belly area. These jackets are cut a bit differently than some… the body of the jacket is a couple inches longer than other styles like this and the tail is particularly long in the back. And because the jacket comes down further on the body, and because the overall cut tapers quite a bit, it means that it will work best on those with an athletic body… meaning a person with a relatively full chest/shoulders and with a relatively narrow waist. Those sporting much of a belly and/or those with a wider-than-average waist may not find a fit in this one. Also, it will work better on average to tall people than shorter people (because of the body length).

I generally advise that Icon’s size chart states the chest size of each jacket a couple inches too small, but with this style, I’ll have to say that their chart is about correct. That means that the jackets run snug as compared to what you might expect if you bought the size you normally wear in men’s clothing. I’d highly recommend you measure your chest and belly to make sure the jacket you choose will be big enough for both the chest and belly.

Size Icon’s Chest Est Our Max Belly
Small 36-38 34
Medium 38-40 36
Large 40-42 38
XL 42-44 40
XXL 46-48 44

XXXXL 52-54 50

Our Two Cents

This new “Hero” version of the Hypersport Prime jacket adds the styling on the front torso. Take our “View Larger Images” link above to see what it looks like. Otherwise, this jacket is functionally the same as the Hypersport Prime. Take the links below to get a rundown on all the features of the Hypersport Prime and Hypersport versions. :: Paul, 10-28-15

What do the characters on the front mean? If you know, let me know and I’ll clue in the rest of us. P
