Sizing Information

We measured each jacket size and tried the size Medium in this jacket on Huey and an XL on Dewey. This is the sizes they normally wear and they fit fine.

This Speed and Strength jacket is an “easy fit” and is generously sized. My primary advice would be to wear the size you normally wear in men’s clothing. If you are between sizes I’d advise you to go down. I notice the sleeve length on these jacket is generous so average to tall riders should find a good fit.

If you want to double check your sizing by measuring your chest, you can use the chart below to choose a size. The Max Chest sizes listed by Speed and Strength are a bit bigger than many manufacturer’s conversion charts, and that confirms our suggestion that people who are between sizes should choose the smaller.

Size Max Chest Sleeve
Small 38-40 32
Medium 40-42 33
Large 42-44 34
XL 46-48 35
XXL 50-52 36
XXXL 54-56 36.5
XXXXL 58-60 36.5

Our Two Cents

the Run With the Bulls Hoody is a nicely styled and easy to wear protective hoody. The material is reinforced and it comes with a full set of armor including the back pad so there is nothing else to buy.

Some hoodys we sell are made of a cotton shell with a layer of Kevlar fabric behind that to add some abrasion protection behind that but this new hoody is made of a single layer of blended material. The tags says: 45% Aramid, 45% Polyester and 10% Cotton. This mix should do a much better job in a slide than setups using primarily cotton. It feels pretty good too and even though the fabric is just a touch more scratchy feeling than cotton, it is fully lined with nylon mesh so it should be very comfortable to wear.

As I mentioned above, this hoody comes with all the armor including a decent dual density back pad. All the armor feels like good quality stuff and is appropriately sized for a loose fitting garment like this.

down low in the lining there are four loop/snaps so you can hook the lower end of this hoody to your belt. That will keep it from blowing upward at higher speeds and it will keep the fabric down over your midsection in case of a fall. So use them!

Overall, this is a nice setup and has more protection capability than most hoody setups. :: Paul, 12-04-18
