Sizing Information

We tried the size Medium in this shirt on Huey and we put an XL shirt on Dewey. We also spot checked a few sizes with tape. Our basic advice is to choose the size you normally wear in men’s clothing.

I will say however that I found the overall fit of the shirts to be trim. If you are between sizes at all, or prefer a loose fit, I’d advise going up one size.

Below is Speed and Strength’s estimated size chart. I think their size chart is a bit optimistic as to fit. I’d advise that the lower end of the listed size range for each shirt size would be the max chest. For example, the XL is listed as being 46-48 max chest, but really, it is about 46” max chest. The max belly/waist size for any shirt size is about 2” less than the max chest. So for the XL shirt, the max belly would be about 44”.

Speed and Strength Size Chart

Size Chest Waist
Small 38 – 40 36 – 38
Medium 40 – 42 38 – 40
Large 42 – 44 40 – 42
X-Large 46 – 48 44 – 46
2X-Large 50 – 52 48 – 50
3X-Large 54 – 56 52 – 54

Our Two Cents

The Last Man Standing Armored Moto Shirt looks like a basic black denim shirt, but it has reinforcements to protect you in a fall. It includes a full set of removable armor and Kevlar reinforcements in the shoulders and elbows.

As reinforced shirts go, this one has a pretty complete list of features for protection: The shell is a cotton/poly blend (which is more abrasion resistant than plain cotton), it has armor in the shoulders elbows and back, Kevlar fabric lines the shell in the shoulders and elbow ares, and the shirt has a full zipper in front (behind the snap closure).

Other nice features for the biker: snaps under the collar tips to keep them from flapping against your neck; there are loops in back to run around your jean’s belt to keep the tail from flapping; the shirt is lined with nylon mesh for long wear and comfort. This shirt is a great choice for those wanting to ride in a shirt, but want better than average protection in a shirt. :: Paul, 03-13-18
