Sizing Information

Generally speaking, Olympia gear will work best on those with larger builds and/or people who like their clothing to fit more casually. In contrast, our European brands fit more snug and trim (REVIT, Alpinestars are examples). We tried a size Medium jacket on Huey and an XL on Dewey (our Fit Check mannequins) and they fit just fine. You can see some shots of how they look by clicking the “View Larger Images” link above.

Olympia’s standard size chart reflects the generous sizing for jackets on the larger end of the spectrum, but we think it understates the size of the smaller jackets. To make size selection easier, we’ve developed the chart below to help you choose a size based upon your chest and belly measurements. If you find yourself between sizes in the chart, I’d advise going with the smaller due to the generally generous cut of the jacket.

Jacket Size Max Chest Max Belly
Small 40 38
Medium 43 41
Large 45 43
XL 48 46
XXL 51 49
XXXL 54 51
XXXXL 58 56

Our Two Cents

The Bradley jacket is a full mesh jacket you can enjoy in summer months but also some spring and fall use too. Its styling is a bit more “retro” with the quilted panels on the shoulders and elbows, but otherwise is pretty conventional. This is a standard length jacket that any street rider will fine appealing. This jacket is mostly a mesh shell and will be great for summer, but it has a removable rain liner which extends it usability into cooler and/or wet weather.

The armor supplied with this jacket is the softer, “memory foam” type armor similar to the popular D3O armor we sell. It molds to your body very readily, but will instantaniously become firm upon impact making it an ideal material for motorcycle crash protection. The shoulder and elbow armor is CE rated and the back pad is too. Some brands require an upgrade to get a decent back pad, but this one looks pretty good to me.

For summer, this jacket should be great. About 75% of the shell is a nice open weave mesh material, so without the liner installed, air should flow right through to your body. It should be great even in the hottest months. And the jacket also has a very unique rain liner as well. It can be worn under the jacket as a wind break for cooler weather, and you can also wear it over the jacket just like a separate rain jacket. And you can even wear it off the bike as a casual style. That can be a neat feature for longer distance riders where space in your bags is a premium. Have a look at our photo gallery to see what the liner looks like alone. It is quite nice!

Other nice features include the adjustments for fit at the waist and arms and the inclusion of a short rear zipper you can use to zip to Olympia pants. As I mentioned, the styling and colors offered in this one are aimed at street riders…. cruisers or retro bikes. But the overall look is so neutral, just about anybody who isn’t into sport or flashy colors will think this is great. :: Paul, 11-13-17
