This jacket is a trim cut street leather jacket and it fits a bit more snugly than most casually styled jackets like this. We measured a selection of sizes and also tried these on our fit test mannequins. Huey is wearing a medium and Dewey is in the XL. These are the sizes they normally wear. The fit is trim but looks good.
I’d advise to choose the size you normally wear in men’s clothing if you are looking for the trim fit this jacket offers. If you prefer a more casual fit, or are between sizes, then you’ll want to choose a size larger. To make size selection easier, we’ve developed the chart below to help you choose a size based upon your chest and belly measurements. If you have a bit of a belly, just make sure that the jacket you choose will be big enough for both your chest and belly.
Note: if you plan to add a back protector to this jacket, then add 1” to the chest/belly measurements before choosing a size.

Our Two Cents
The Ronin leather jacket by Roland Sands Designs offers the protection of leather for street riders along with very high quality leathers and finish work. This is a classic style which works on or off the bike. If you want more protection, you can add an armor kit too.
This jacket offers a very styling leather jacket, but one that is a bit more conservative than its brother, the Clash jacket. This one offers the same higher quality, lighter weight leather that just looks and feels great.
This jacket is offered in a solid leather design and also a perforated version (take the link below to have a look at the other style). The solid leather style will work best for colder to mild weather where the perforated version will work best in mild to hot weather. The perforations on the perf version are large and plentiful and should flow a lot of air. The lining of the perf version is nylon mesh and the lining of the solid version is silky nylon. Wow.
The Ronin comes with provisions for the addition of protective armor. The armor is made by Forcefield and is nice stuff. The armor pieces themselves are a three ply arrangement which allows them to flex and mold to your body shape easily. Adding the armor makes this jacket as protective as the better sport/race jackets we sell. Many cruiser/retro styles we sell don’t have armor as standard so having the ability to add good armor is a big plus for the Clash. Take the links below to purchase the armor pieces you want.
This jacket will be for those that appreciate the look and feel of quality leather and want something that will look great no matter where you wear it. And the protective chops are there if you want to add them. :: Paul, 03-15-18
Roland Sands says: The RSD Ronin is the jacket that set the precedent of what a new motorcycle jacket could be. Many companies have tried in vain to duplicate this jacket, but this is the original. With a specially developed and exclusive Airborne leather that feels and smells as good as it looks, each Ronin is unique. Versatile and stylish both on and off the bike, it’s the jacket you wear for a night out even when you don’t bring your bike along. Subtle styling accentuates the rich texture of the Airborne leather and allows for a jacket that breaks into your body type for personalized comfort as well as aesthetic. The Ronin is cut for the ride with pre bent arms and carry’s pockets for armor as well as leather that’s just the right thickens for abrasion resistance and comfort. We’ve also included unique stash spots for your specialty items as well as a two 6-pack pocket capable of carrying the necessary beverages when a pack is not an option.
