Sizing Information

This jacket is a standard cut street leather jacket. It fits just a touch more snugly than their other “cruiser” style leather jackets because the liner takes up just a bit of room inside, but the overall fit still follow their standard fit chart well. We measured a selection of sizes and also tried these on our fit test mannequins. Huey is wearing a medium and Dewey is in the XL. These are the sizes they normally wear. The fit looks good.

I’d advise to choose the size you normally wear in men’s clothing. To make size selection easier, we’ve developed the chart below to help you choose a size based upon your chest and belly measurements. If you have a bit of a belly, just make sure that the jacket you choose will be big enough for both your chest and belly.

Adding a back protector?: If you plan to add a back protector to this jacket, then add 1” to the chest/belly measurements before choosing a size.

Jacket Size Max Chest Max Belly
Small 38 34
Medium 40 36
Large 43 39
XL 46 42
XXL 48 46
XXXL 51 47

Our Two Cents

The Jagger jacket by Roland Sands is versatile and good looking. The removable hoody gives more usability and value. Armor is included for the shoulders and elbows and a back pad is available.

I really like the hoody that comes with this jacket!. Its made of a higher quality material than you think of when you think “hoody”. Rather than plain soft cotton, its a high quality woven polyester material. It looks and feels like a nice athletic jacket by Timberland equal. When used as a layer under the jacket, the main zipper engages matching zippers inside the jacket, but when worn separately, those same zippers mesh together as a normal front zipper. The fit is the hoody is more trim than you’d expect because it has to fit under the leather jacket shell, but it looks really nice wearing it as a separate item. Being wearable off the bike is always a plus when you travel because you get a usable item of clothing along with the jacket and makes your packing easier. The shell of the hoody is also windproof, so it will help insulate you in the cold.

With the hoody removed, you have the option to open the two front shoulder vents and the two rear vents to move some air through the leather jacket shell. Granted, this is a leather jacket so it won’t be great on hot days even with the vents in use, but it should cover you in all but the hot days of summer.

The overall styling here is similar in spirit to many other Roland Sand styles… a sharp jacket with a retro vibe that will work for a lot of riding styles. I particularly like the quilted areas on the shoulders and in the back. The long pleats in back behind the shoulders is a nice touch too. They add style, but also they are functional. The pleats in back are commonly called an “action back” because it allows you reach forward for the handlebars without stretching the leather across your back. Its a nice feature for motorcyclists particularly if you are broad shouldered.

This jacket is equipped with shoulder and elbow armor. Its make by Knox which is a well known maker of impact protectors of all kinds. There is also a pocket for adding a matching Knox back protector. The jacket comes standard with a thin foam pad which more or less a “placeholder”. Its better than nothing, but if you want rated and tested back protection, take the link below to order.

I’m a fan of this new style because of the slightly tapered fit, the really nice multi-function and removable hoody and the Knox armor system. :: Paul, 11-21-18
