Sizing Information

This jacket is offered in European sizes. The normal formula to convert a European size to a US size is to subtract 10 from the European size to get the approx. US chest size and this style follows that same pattern only runs a touch larger, probably because it is a more relaxed/casual style as compared to more snug it sport styles. Based on measurements, most people will choose the European size they normally choose (or the European size that is 10 points more than your US suit coat size).

I’d encourage you to check your sizing selection based upon your measurements. Measure both your chest and belly and choose a size that will be big enough for both. The jackets are cut more casually and so the taper from chest to waist isn’t nearly as aggressive as a sport/race jacket, so the belly size won’t be an issue for most, but I put my estimate of max belly so you can make sure. Adjusters on each side of torso at the waist line allows you to snug down the belly area by about 4” total.

Our Two Cents

The REVIT Roamer 2 Jacket is new for 2021. This is an all-black leather jacket with a shiny black finish. It includes armor for the shoulders and elbows and has provisions for an optional back protector.

I really admire the looks of a simple, high quality leather jacket like this. This style reminds me of classic cruiser styles from Vanson or Schott (we sold Vanson for many years in the early 2000s). The leather is soft, but thick and is plenty heavy to provide the abrasion resistance you’ll want for motorcycle protection. Notice the neat tailoring of the pockets, collar and cuffs. It’s all very sharp and very neatly trimmed out. You’ll be completely comfortable wearing this jacket off the bike too. The armor doesn’t bulk it up too much, but you also have the option of removing the armor is you want to wear this jacket casually.

This simple design doesn’t include options for venting, so consider this jacket for cold to mild weather. For cold weather, it has a full sleeve removable thermal liner, which feels nice and should be warm. Take the liner out for mild weather. And for heaven sakes, don’t take this one into rain! The black leather finish is so beautiful as-is… don’t mess it up!

Armor inserts are included for the shoulders and elbows as standard. It’s REVIT’s SeeSmart CE Level 1 armor which is their best armor line and CE level one being the lighter and thinner version which is appropriate for a street style jacket like this. The armor is a firm rubber compound and it is molded in a honeycomb pattern. The back protector is optional. The jacket is equipped with a pocket to accept a Seesoft CE Level 2 Back Protector Insert type RV (RV refers to the shape). Take the link below to order. For sizes Small or Medium, choose size 4; for Large thru XXL, choose size 5 and for XXXL and larger choose size 6.

In the inside tail of the jacket are a couple snap-close loops you can use to connect the jacket to your belt or loops on your jeans. There is also the traditional short rear zipper to connect to REVIT riding pants. Personally, I think most people will opt to wear this jacket with riding jeans or just their own jeans, so consider the consider connecting the jacket to your favorite jeans with REVIT’s Safeway belt (take the link below). It’s a neat alternative that is more secure. :: Paul, 03-03-21

REVIT says: The Roamer 2 is the classic leather jacket that all male riders should have in their motorcycle wardrobe. The lines are both clean and timeless, allowing its use to carry from season to season, and from year to year. Furthermore, it’s ready for multi-season use thanks to the detachable thermal liner. Tabs at the collar and waist allow riders to adjust the fit to their personal preference, while the double jeans loop allows riders to effortlessly attach the jacket to their favorite pants. Additionally, SEESMART™ CE-level 1 armor is found at the shoulders and elbows, and for those who want a protective upgrade, it comes with a pocket that’s prepared for the CE-level 2 back protector insert.
