The leather is produced with a classic pebble grain finish for a clean yet distinctively old school look. Designed with side waist accordion stretch panels, pre-curved sleeves and a lean ergonomic fit, Vincent delivers a modern take on vintage retro styling.

Sizing Information

Generally speaking, Olympia gear will work best on those with larger builds and/or people who like their clothing to fit more casually. In contrast, our European brands fit more snug and trim (REVIT, Alpinestars are examples). We tried a size Medium jacket on Huey and an XL on Dewey (our Fit Check mannequins) and they fit just fine. You can see some shots of how they look by clicking the “View Larger Images” link above.

Olympia’s standard size chart reflects the generous sizing for jackets on the larger end of the spectrum, but we think it understates the size of the smaller jackets. To make size selection easier, we’ve developed the chart below to help you choose a size based upon your chest and belly measurements. If you find yourself between sizes in the chart, I’d advise going with the small due to the generally generous cut of the jacket.

Jacket Size Max Chest Max Belly
Small 40 38
Medium 43 41
Large 45 43
XL 48 46
XXL 51 49
XXXL 54 51
XXXXL 58 56

Our Two Cents

The Vincent by Olympia is your basic, all-sorts-of-riding black leather jacket. It is heavy duty, but simple in design. The styling could work for cruiser riding or every day street riding.

I’ve reviewed the Bishop leather jacket by Olympia which is a high shine, premium looking cruiser/casual style. The Vincent is the alter ego of the Bishop. Its finish is “pebble” and “matte”, and the zippers and detail stitching are all blacked out. It reminds be a LOT of the Z1R leather line and some of the black leather pieces offered in the Black brand as well. So if you like the subdued styling and with little detail and not shiny leather you might have found your jacket.

This jacket comes with a full set of CE rated armor. The shoulder and elbow armor are firm, CE rated pieces and the back is an energy absorbing unit. Click through to the photo gallery to see what those look like. They are the same armor inserts found in most of Olympia’s textile/sport line and similar to about 80% of the armor that comes in jackets these days. I’ll note that the back pad is more substantial than most you’ll find in this price range. Some leather styles like this don’t even come with armor at all, but getting a set of armor include makes the value proposition of this jacket much better.

The Vincent isn’t for summer use folks. Itt is a solid leather jacket, and black and without any sort of venting features or perforated leather, so you’ll definitely not want to wear this one in the heat of summer. But the jacket does have a really nice, plushy removable full-sleeve thermal liner for use in colder temps, and that coupled with the solid leather shell and energy absorbing finish, this jacket ought to do very well in cold weather. So I’d suggest this style for fall/winter/spring.

I think the Vincent will be a workhorse jacket without flash. Plenty of people will gravitate toward a more simple style like this. :: Paul, 10-26-17
