Sizing Information
These gloves are consistent with the major American based brands we carry such as FirstGear, Tour Master, Joe Rocket etc, so hopefully you’ve had some experience with buying gloves and can choose based upon the fit of a previous pair. If you have no previous experience with glove sizing, go here for help.
Just as an FYI, you may have previous experience with European designed brands such as Alpinestars and REV’IT! which run about one half size smaller, size-for-size, than the American brands. It is not a universally true fact, but generally holds for most styles. So if a particular size in either of those brands is roomy on you, then you may be able to go down one full size in this style.
Our Two Cents
The Scorpion Abrams glove is a short cuff mostly-leather style for street riders. These glove are comfortable and have ample venting for warm weather.
The palm side of this glove is all-leather… in fact goat leather, which is highly regarded for making motorcycle gloves. It’s a relatively thin leather but wear well and is resistant to sweat. The fingers are externally sewn meaning the seams that make the fingers are to the outside, which is a comfortable way to build gloves.
The back side of the glove is a combination of leather and mesh. The knuckles are covered with an accordion panel of leather. It’s not armor, but it does provide padding of sorts. The leather flexes to some degree which gives room for your knuckles when you make a fist, so it is a comfortable setup. The one rib of the accordion section nearest the wrist is actually reflective material to improve your night time visibility. A good portion of the back of the hand is mesh material which will make this glove comfortable in warn or hot weather.
Overall, I really like the look at feel of this glove. I’m surprised at the VERY reasonable price too. I think these are a good value. :: Paul, 11-26-2019
