Sizing Information

We find REVIT gloves run a bit on the snug side as compared to most US based brands. The fit is very similar to Alpinestars which also fit more snugly than other brands of gloves. The tendency to run small is not so noticeable that we’d advise you to buy one size larger, but if you are sometimes in between sizes, your best shot would be to choose larger. Hopefully you’ve had some experience with buying gloves and can choose based upon the fit of a previous pair. If you have no previous experience with glove sizing, go here for help.

Our Two Cents

These Monster 2 gloves appealed to me for the styling queues I saw in REVIT’s catalog when we pre-ordered this style. And the gloves do have a distinctive style which is great. But I was pleased to try on the gloves and feel the substantial nature of the armor package.

Unlike most short cuff gloves, these gloves are HEAVILY armored. There are strips of impact-gel type material under the three big fingers that I really haven’t seen before. When I first slid them on, they felt kind of stiff, but after wearing them only a couple minutes, they loosened up and feel fine. And this same material is under the leather palm patch and it covers a substantial portion of the palm area. The combination of the armor and the leather should do a great job in case of a fall. And the knuckles are covered by a nice molded piece as well. It’s covered in leather so it blends into the cruiser/retro style of the gloves well.

The gloves are fully lined… even in the palm area with a soft slippery nylon material, so they should be very comfortable and less likely to bleed dye (as some “naked” gloves do).

One other feature is the slightly longer gauntlet with the beefy Velcro close strap. It loops through a buckle to make it less likely to pull loose if you fall, and feels very secure.

Overall, I like these gloves and I’m super pleased with the level of protection. They sure aren’t just all style, which is a good thing! :: Paul, 02-17-16
