We’ve found that REV’IT! gloves run a bit on the snug side as compared to most US based brands… much like Alpinestars. In most models, the amount by which they run small is not that great, but the Fly seems to run smaller than most, and therefore, we are recommending that you buy one size larger than usual (if you typically can fit into one size). If you are sometimes between sizes, then choosing the larger of the two should work. Hopefully you’ve had some experience with buying gloves and can choose based upon the fit of a previous pair. If you have no previous experience with glove sizing, go here for help.
Our Two Cents
The Fly 2 glove is new for 2016. Like the previous Fly model, this is a short cuff goatskin glove primarily for street riders and for use in mild to summer weather.
I’m a fan of the fully perforated leather construction. These ought to flow a lot of air and be very comfortable in summer. And the leather will do a better job than many with abrasion protection if needed (heaven forbid!). The gloves have molded protection over the knuckles, but the protector is installed under the perforated goatskin which gives it a sleek look. The heel of the hand has a bit of padding which feels like a gel material.
When I first tried on these gloves, I liked how “pre-curved” the cut is, so when you grip there is no wadded up leather in the palm area. The overall fit and feel is excellent for me. These look sharp and feel good and I like them! :: Paul, 02-12-16
