Sizing Information

We find REVIT gloves run a bit on the snug side as compared to most US based brands. The fit is very similar to Alpinestars which also fit more snugly than other brands of gloves. The tendency to run small is not so noticeable that we’d advise you to buy one size larger, but if you are sometimes in between sizes, your best shot would be to choose larger. Hopefully you’ve had some experience with buying gloves and can choose based upon the fit of a previous pair. If you have no previous experience with glove sizing, go here for help.

Our Two Cents

Here’s the third version of the REVIT Avion glove for 2020. The Avion 3 is slightly updated. The last revision, the Avion 2, came out in 2016. The Avion 3 is a favorite for street riders who prefer a leather glove over textile. These gloves are fully perforated for comfort in mild to hot weather.

No gloves feel better than a quality pair of leather gloves! The Avion 3 is not a very expensive glove but it feels great. The cut and shape of the hand reminds me of sport race glove because it is cut trim and has a pre-curved shape. I’d still call this a “short cuff” style, but the cuff is longer than many and extends far enough to cover your wrist bone, which can be helpful when riding in the sunshine where your jacket sleeve doesn’t quite cover all the way to your hand, so no sunburn.

The entire hand here is perforated leather with the exception of the reinforcement pieces in the palm which are solid leather. With all the perfs, these gloves are recommended for summer use. I wouldn’t recommend using a nice leather glove like this in the rain though.

A one piece knuckle armor unit fits over your knuckles and is installed under the leather, so it isn’t too “racy” of a look but gives a sturdy layer of protection. The heel of the hand has some moderate padding in the heel area. The gloves are held securely on your wrist with a Velcro tab.

What’s new here as compared to the Avion 2 from four years back? Well, the most significant change is with the fit. The last version was snug and had noticeably longer finger lengths than normal. This glove fits “normal” in the hand and fingers both… yeah! The only other difference I can detect is a slightly different REVIT logo on the back wrist. This year, an Olive color is available which will look good with some of the new jacket/pant colors for this year. I’m actually glad REVIT has kept this design stable since this is a best selling glove for us. I recommend these! :: Paul, 02-06-20

REVIT says: The third generation of Avion gloves have been revised to make them even better. Subtle in styling, the regular fit Avion 3 gloves incorporate a hard knuckle protector in a fully ventilated, abrasion-resistant leather outer shell to offer the necessary armor and comfort to those going out on the streets in warm conditions. Furthermore, the Avion 3 gloves have been optimized to allow an improved freedom of movement and an even better feel through the handlebars, making them a summer must-have for motorcyclists across various segments.
