Sizing Information

These gloves are consistent with the major US brands such as Tour Master and Joe Rocket, so hopefully you’ve had some experience with buying gloves and can choose based upon the fit of a previous pair. Just as an FYI, European brands such as REVIT, Dainese and Alpinestars typically run just a touch more snug that US sized gloves.

If you have no previous experience with glove sizing, go here for help.

Oxford publishes a “template” you can print to choose a glove size by comparing your hand to a printed image. Click here to view/print.

We checked our own sizing advice based on a hand measurement to Oxfords printed template and found the measuring method to be most accurate.

Our Two Cents

Oxford RP-4 2.0 gloves are a sport-oriented short cuff design with protection features and materials that allow a lot of air flow for summer riding.

The RP-4 2.0 is the summer version of the RP-3 2.0. If you plan to ride in the summer months, this one would be the pick. Parts of the back of the hand are mesh material and there is fabric between the fingers to facilitate a lot of air flow. This glove shares some common features with the RP-3 2.0 such as the “floating” knuckle protection which is made of a sturdy firm plastic. This glove has a carbon fiber mesh showing through the plastic for some added style. And behind the knuckle protector over the top of your hand is a dense foam protector. There is also dense foam padding in the heel of the hand.

This glove has a definite pre-curve to the hand and fingers which will feel nice on the controls. The palm of the hand is unlined for a good feel on the controls.

The cuff on this glove is short with not much coverage over the wrist, which will be welcome in hot weather. One gripe: the Velcro and rubber tab to close the wrist is just a little but cheapo acting, but it works. Even still, for the money, these gloves fit and feel nice and offer a lot of protection that would cost quite a bit more in other brands. I think they look pretty good. :: Paul, 08-06-19
