Our Two Cents
The Joe Rocket Mercury glove is a mostly-leather glove with a retro vibe. These gloves have venting for summer and protection in the knuckle area.
I like how this glove has a cruiser/retro style to it, but it is fitted with mesh panels to make it comfortable in hot weather. Notice the black panels. Those are free flow mesh areas that face the wind so you’ll get a lot of air flow when it gets hot. The leather used on these gloves looks sharp, and it’s distressed to make them look older. The raw edges of the leather are left exposed and give some extra style as well.
The knuckle area of this glove has a molded protector under the leather cover. In the heel of the hand and over the outside wrist, there are a couple of panels of padding. The gloves have a secure closure at the wrist with Velcro to make sure they stay on your hands in a fall. I also like the longer cuff on the gloves so when you are riding in the summer, you’ll get a bit more coverage over your wrist where you might otherwise get a sunburn.
I do like this glove for the venting, good looking style, and the reasonable price. :: Paul, 11-14-19
