Sizing Information

Held gloves are sold in glove sizes rather than the normal “alpha” sizes you are used to in the US. For complete information on selection and fit of Held gloves please go here: Held Glove Sizing

We find Held gloves to be very consistent for fit from one model to the next and this particular glove model is no exception. Choose the size you wear in Held, or use the sizing advice above to choose.

Our Two Cents

The Held Burt offers cruiser/retro styling in a good looking short cuff leather glove. Choose from black or brown which are both finished in a “distressed” leather to make them look like these have been your favorites for years.

I just finished looking at the Paxton and this new Burt style is functionally very much the same, but with slightly different styling. Rather than being a new shiny “slick” finish, these Burt gloves offer a distressed look. Just like with the Paxton, the seams on the fingers are sewn to the outside(on the palm side) so those seams won’t rub your fingers when you grip the controls. The gloves have a sturdy molded protector built in over the knuckles and there is an extra layer of leather over the heel area of the hand.

The palm of this glove is a one piece cut of goat, which is a bit thinner than the deer hide used in the Paxton. Some prefer goat because it gives more feel for the controls and goat is known for long wear and its resistance to sweat. On the brown glove, I’m looking at, the contrast of the black color goat used in the palm looks great.

A single Velcro strap fastens the glove to your wrist. These gloves would be ideal for fair weather street riding and would look especially good with a cruiser style bike. The back of the hand has some perforations to help them breathe. I’d avoid wet weather if I were you… the distressed exterior finish won’t tolerate water well. :: Paul, 10-28-20

Note: We are pleased to offer Held gloves in the US again beginning late 2020. Held is a manufacturer of a full line of motorcycle apparel which is based in Germany. We’ve sold held gloves on and off for more than a decade. Held gloves are top quality and are made with VERY high quality materials. We find the gloves to offer a consistent fit which brand loyal fans enjoy. Held returns to the US market after exiting in 2019 due to distribution issues. Welcome back Held!
