Sizing Information
The fit of Alpinestars gloves are very consistent from one model to the next. And overall, they fit a bit small as compared to other brands we carry such as FirstGear, Tour Master, etc. It’s not enough to recommend that you buy a larger size (especially if a snug fit is preferred) but it is noticeable enough to say that if you are sometimes between sizes, then you should probably choose the larger of the two. Hopefully you’ve had some experience with buying gloves and can choose based upon the fit of a previous pair. If you have no previous experience with glove sizing, go here for help.
Our Two Cents
If you need a lightweight and breezy glove for summer, then you’ll probably like these Fighter Air gloves. The back of the hand is made of a combination of about 5 different materials… there’s mesh, leather, embossed leather (over the knuckles) and then there are some molded TPR pieces that provide a bit of pizazz. The leather over the knuckles is padded with a fairly dense foam. The palms of these gloves is a synthetic suede material and there are a couple reinforcement layers in the more wear prone areas. The gloves are comfortable and will pack away in a very tight space for convenience. These gloves are also capable of working your cell phone or GPS. There is a small patch of conductive material on the index finger tip. You can select and swipe, but you’ll be using both hands to pinch since there isn’t the same material on the thumb.
