Sizing Information

We find Spidi gloves to fit similar to other European brands like Dainese, Alpinestars and REVIT, so if you know what size you wear in these brands, we advise you to choose the same size as you’ve worn before.

Just as an FYI, European brand gloves typically fit a bit more snug than US based brands such as Tour Master, FirstGear, Icon, etc. Even though this glove runs a bit more snug, it isn’t so much that we’d advise going up a size, but if you are at all between sizes, choose the larger.

If you have no idea what size you wear, please see the following Spidi glove size chart and hand measurement instructions to help you choose a size.

Our Two Cents

The Spidi STS-R2 gloves are a great street/sport glove in a very comfortable package. The pricing is VERY reasonable too!

This glove shares the looks of a race glove and some of the features. It has a nice feature list which I think will suit the average street/sport rider perfectly. And feeling the gloves, I’m kind of amazed they come in at $99 retail. They are very comfortable and I think would be practical for everyday use.

Most of the hand is a mix of cow and goat. I’m guessing the goat is the material in the palm since it a little thinner and will give an excellent feel for your controls. The knuckles are covered with a traditional molded plastic protector that feels sturdy. When I wear them the knuckle protector is comfortable on the hand even when making a fist. At the wrist is a secure Velcro adjustable strap to hold the gloves on the hand in case of a fall. The gauntlet is adjustable too so you could wear these gloves over the sleeve of a sport jacket or under the sleeve of a street jacket, so they’ll be versatile to your riding style.

This is an all leather glove with a few venting features, so expect them to be comfortable in cool to warm weather. In the heat of summer they might get kinda hot and likewise in the winter, without insulation, they’ll be cold. But for 9 mos of the year for most people they should be pretty comfortable. These aren’t a waterproof design and they are leather, so avoid wet weather with them.

Spidi says (see below) these could be for use on the track but I really don’t think so. These are nice gloves, but they are missing several features you’d want to have to be on a track. For example, this glove has a “soft” gauntlet and for race, you’d want something with hard armor. Same goes for the heel of the hand. This glove has some padding, but no hard slider. Don’t get me wrong… I think this glove is great for the street and an absolute bargain, but it just isn’t up to the standards of a race glove.

I can’t say enough about the comfort of this glove. The leather is nice and the gloves are lined with soft Tricot material which makes the glove slide on and off easily. They feel great to me right out of the package. I recommend them! :: Paul, 06-14-19

Spidi says: The new SPIDI STS-R 2 gloves are the second generation of the popular STS-R series, known for their excellent protection both on the race track and on the street. The technically advanced glove features a palm made of goat leather, allowing better sensitivity on the throttle and levers with a traditional cow/bovine leather back. The knuckles both feature advanced armor, as does the outer side of the glove, and there is a stretch panel behind the knuckles to ensure the glove stays comfortable even on longer rides. SPIDI have integrated vents into the STS-R 2 gloves to keep your hands dry and comfortable, there’s a velcro wrist closure, and a wrist retention strap for additional safety. Each pair of SPIDI STS-R 2 gloves have Level 1 EN 13594:2015 CE Certification.
