Our Two Cents

The Revolt glove by Speed and Strength is a full gauntlet leather street/sport glove with many features found on race gloves.

First off, let me clarify: I would not recommend this glove for track use. Speed and Strength’s marketing info makes that suggestion, but these aren’t up to the task. But they are fine for street use. In fact, the glove seems like a pretty well made glove for the relatively low price. The hand and gauntlet is mostly cowhide, and to provide venting, there are a couple of panels of mesh material built in. You can see those vent panels on the ends of the fingers and then behind the knuckle protector. Also, parts of the thumb is perforated. So even though these are mostly a solid leather gloves, they ought to flow some pretty good air and be comfortable in warmer weather.

There are two major armor units on this glove… one over the knuckles and one in the heel of the hand and both feel secure. My only concern about the glove design is the gauntlet. It has a Velcro tab around the cuff to make it fit over your jacket sleeve, but it doesn’t open up very wide even with the Velcro completely open. It will probably work for most people, but if you are trying to put this over anything but a sport type sleeve, it might be a problem. If you wearing a riding shirt or standard jacket sleeve OVER the gauntlet, this one will work better than other styles that have larger gauntlets.

The overall cut of the glove feels pretty good. The fingers and hand are cut to be “pre-curved” and they feel pretty nice. :: Paul, 10-07-19

Speed and Strength says: When you want a glove designed to wrap high levels of performance like a Floating Padded Knuckle Guard for optimum mobility and Plastic Palm Sliders around your hand without interfering with your feel of what the bike’s doing under you, slip on a pair of these Premium Goatskin Leather Chassis gloves. Other track-inspired features like Stretch Rib Panels on Knuckles and Sturdy Gauntlet Cuff with Armor and Lock Down Closure make these the perfect pick for the aggressive rider.
