REV'IT! Stellar 2 Gloves

Most REV’IT! gloves feel a bit snug as compared to other American brands we carry and these are no exception. I’d say this one runs only slightly small, so I’d advise you to choose the size you normally wear in gloves. If you are between sizes, then choose larger. Hopefully you’ve had some experience with buying gloves and can choose based upon the fit of a previous pair. If you have no previous experience with glove sizing, go here for help.

The Stellar 2 gloves is a great sport/street full gauntlet glove, or it could even go to the track for amateurs. It’s sharp and comfortable and reasonably priced.

REVIT has a great summary of technical features listed below to have a look at that. Many of the features you’d look for in a track glove are here. There is a great knuckle protector and a large palm slider for starters. And then there are several raised areas of foam protection. Another key thing is the wrist strap… there is a Velcro-close strap at the wrist to hold the gloves on your hand in case of a fall. And then the gauntlet has a large Velcro strap so you can adjust the gantlet to work with your jacket sleeve type.

The main construction of the glove is goat skin which is a moderately priced leather which works well in motorcycle gloves because it is relatively thin but durable. When you get into higher priced gloves, you’ll commonly see kangaroo skin palms.

One neat feature on this glove I haven’t seen before is the long rolled edge that extends all the way from the tip of the forefinger to the cuff. I’m not sure it has a significant function for the glove but it looks sharp when you are wearing them. The finger seams on the palm side of the gloves are sewn to the outside, which is the more comfortable way to sew the glove.

I really think this is a lot of glove for under two hundred bucks. REVIT makes quality gear and to get all these features that approach the level of good race gloves is a good value in my opinion. :: Paul, 02-01-19
