Sizing Information

We generally advise that Joe Rocket gloves run about like other US based manufacturers, and European makes run a bit more snug, but in trying on these Flexium gloves, I find they fit more like the European makers like Alpinestars or REV’IT!.... just a tad more snug. Not so much I’d advise to buy a size smaller, but if you are between sizes sometimes, I’d advise you choose the larger.

Our Two Cents

My first impression of this glove when trying them on for the close-up photos was good. They are “substantial” feeling and have a lot of armor pieces for a street riding style. But then I saw the price as being under $100 and that certainly improved my overall opinion due to the value involved. The main armor pieces are the molded knuckle for “back of the hand” protection. It is a “floating” design (like most others) where it is attached to the glove in front and on the side, but is left floating in back so that it will float over your knuckles when you make a fist. If it were fixed all around, it would be pulled into your knuckles and be uncomfortable when you made a fist. I also see a sturdy palm slider which is a good feature. It is there to promote sliding the hand on the ground if you were to fall. If it were not there, then the glove would more likely “grab” the asphalt and promote twisting of the hand or wrist. Sliding sounds so much better, don’t you think? The gloves have extra leather layers in numerous places which promotes the impression of being substantial (as I mentioned above). The gloves have a few minor perforations in the leather here and there, but I’d advise you to buy this glove for warm to cooler conditions, but not super hot weather. Any full leather glove like this will get warm in hot summer weather. The wrist has the usual Velcro-close arrangement to keep the gloves securely on your hands and the cuff is fully adjustable with a larger Velcro close tab that works well. Overall, I really like the feel of this glove and for the price, it is a great value. Also, the looks are sharp and there is a wide color choice range. Just take the “View Larger Images” link above to see all those and the features I’ve pointed out. :: Paul, 06-24-14
