Sizing Information

These gloves are consistent with the major American based brands we carry such as FirstGear, Tour Master, Joe Rocket, etc, so hopefully you’ve had some experience with buying gloves and can choose based upon the fit of a previous pair. If you have no previous experience with glove sizing, go here for help.

Just as an FYI, you may have previous experience with European designed brands such as Alpinestars and REV’IT! which run about one half size smaller, size-for-size, than the American brands. It is not a universally true fact, but generally holds for most styles. So if a particular size in either of those brands is roomy on you, then you may be able to go down one full size in this style.

Our Two Cents

The Latigo 2 RR glove is a great glove for general street/sport use. It has many features that mirror what you’d find on a race glove and the overall quality seems good. I think this model would be acceptable for very light duty amateur track use (like a beginner’s school or the like), but I wouldn’t say this glove has enough protection for any sort of racing beyond that.

But having said that, there are a lot of features here that are more than adequate for street use… hard knuckle and finger protectors, a bit of crash padding (or vibration isolation padding) in the palm area, multi-adjustable gauntlet with additional wrist padding and a positive-close Velcro wrist strap. Like I said, a lot of good features for any street rider.

I find the overall fit to be very good… they are tailored well with a pre-curve to the hand, and the fingers are sewn with the edges out (called a box cut) which makes them very comfortable. And the fingers have the micro perforated leather between the fingers to flow some air and that perf leather is used also on top of the padded areas on the wrist and back of hand to add some style. The side of the pinky area is beefed up too, which helps protect that most vulnerable digit. And finally, the insides of the glove are well finished. The inside of the gauntlet and top of the hand are lined with a very thin fleecy feeling material. The palms are unlined to keep that area thin to provide the “touch” most street riders want to have.

Overall, I think the Latigo 2 RR ticks a LOT of boxes for a sport/street rider and at under a hundred bucks, they seem like a good value to me. :: Paul, 07-01-15
