Sizing Information

Spidi sizing chart

These gloves fit just a touch snug compared to American fit gloves like Tourmaster or Klim which is to be expected with a European brand like Spidi. It isn’t enough to suggest that you size up but if you between sizes we suggest that you choose the larger size.

Our Two Cents

The Spidi Wintertourer H2Out gloves are an insulated full gauntlet style glove for winter riding.

The Wintertourer H2Out gloves live up to their name with 100 grams of 3M Thinsulate insulation and a polar microfleece liner. These gloves are windproof and waterproof thanks to the H2Out technology and should perform well in cool to cold, wet, or dry conditions.

The palm is reinforced in key areas to improve the life expectancy of the gloves and the insulated liner is on the front of the hand as well as the back so you lose a bit of dexterity with it. The index fingers have touchscreen material that works well on Android devices but not at all on Apple here at the shop. It should also work on GPS devices as they usually use the same technology as Android, but the material is only on the finger so no pinching to zoom, etc. There is no armor in this glove, just extra padding for warmth. The accordion knuckle gives you some flexibility but not much protection. They also note “reflex zones for night riding” in the bullet points for these gloves but from what we can tell only the logo on the cuff is reflective.

There is a hook and loop closure at the wrist and a drawstring style closure at the cuff so you can get a secure fit on the hand and adjust the cuff around your jacket sleeve. I’m going to call out this drawstring system though because you cannot simply pull to tighten it like other brands, you have to hold tension on the line while pinching the slider and tightening it. A two hand or one mouth and one hand task, so it is not ideal.

Overall these gloves are a comfortable option if you’re in the market for a winter glove with minimal armor. They should keep you warm and dry into some pretty cold temperatures. :: Mike, 12-29-21
