Sizing Information
Most REV’IT! gloves feel a bit snug as compared to other American brands we carry and these are no exception. I’d say this one runs only slightly small, so I’d advise you to choose the size you normally wear in gloves. If you are between sizes, then choose larger. Hopefully you’ve had some experience with buying gloves and can choose based upon the fit of a previous pair. If you have no previous experience with glove sizing, go here for help.
Our Two Cents
The new Hydra H20 gloves by REVIT can be your friend for colder weather and/or wet weather. These are a short cuff style with moderate insulation. They feel good on the hand and are not too puffy to give good feel for the controls.
The glove is textile material on the back of the hand and leather on the palm side. The molded knuckle protector is very substantial, but well shaped and padded on the underside so they feel good on the hand. The palm gets some light padding in the heel area. Goat leather is used in the palm.
These gloves have both a waterproof liner in between the glove’s outer shell and inner lining. And there is also a layer of insulation too. The waterproof liner employs the newer “McFit” technology which means rather than the liner being a separate layer, it is actually bonded to the outer shell. It makes the gloves less bulk and makes them feel thinner. The gloves feel really comfy inside because they are lined wit a soft fleecy material. Both gloves have a soft “wiper” type material along side the index finger you can use to wipe off your visor.
The cuff is a tight knit cuff made to go UNDER your jacket sleeve. These work great with most city or street jacket, but they don’t work so great with race jacket sleeves that zip down close to your wrist. But other than that type jacket, these should work fine. The knit cuff will also keep out the wind. The gloves have a Velcro strap at the wrist to keep the gloves in place in case of a fall.
I see a lot of glove here with quality material for under a $100 which looks like a bargain to me. :: Paul, 08-24-18
REVIT says: The short-cuffed Hydra H2O gloves are perfect for cold and wet urban days thanks to the waterproof hydratex® membrane and insulating Thinsulate® G liner combined with warm tri-fleece. Protection comes from a hard-shell knuckle protector and Temperfoam® at the fingers, thumbs and palms. An adjustment strap at the wrist allows the rider to customize the fit. In the rain, a visor wiper allows the rider to keep a clear view of the road, while the connect fingertips allow the rider to operate touch screen devices such as a smartphone without the need to remove a glove.
