Sizing Information
Held gloves are sold in glove sizes rather than the normal “alpha” sizes you are used to in the US. But fear not, we offer a comprehensive guide to choosing a Held glove size for you:
And here is some information about the long term care of Held gloves:
Our Two Cents
The Springride Gore-Tex® motorcycle gloves from Held are full length, waterproof, touring gloves that are best suited for spring through fall riding. Overall construction is a combination of an integrated Gore-Tex® membrane, goatskin leather on both the upper and palm as well as soft cowhide leather covering the rest of the glove. Included also is a thermo-plush fleece liner on the back of the hand.
Looking at protection, there is a leather covered hard knuckle protector that features a special impact absorbing foam under the protector. There are reflective sections included, as well as HELD Armaprotec + leather reinforcement on the side of the hand & ball of the thumb. Additional padding can be found on top of all four fingers, as well as a nicely sized Superfabric pad on the palm protector. Overall the Springride gloves earn a CE 1KP rating.
Looking at comfort and convenience, there are two Velcro adjusters one at the cuff and one at the wrist, there is a visor wiper on the left index finger (I love when gloves feature visor wipers, just such a small thing, but one that is super convenient when you need it, especially useful in an all-weather, touring glove), as well as special leather at the finger which allows for smartphone operation (in our testing these gloves worked good, but not great with both iPhone and Android devices, most gloves that are waterproof, or more winter based tend to not be as responsive as for example sport/summer gloves). For additional comfort there are accordion stretch panels at the three larger fingers, as well as the top of the wrist.
Overall the Springride Gore-Tex® motorcycle gloves from Held are a solid pair of gloves with a good amount of protection, comfort features and weather protection for the money. Also I will note that they are really comfortable. Some gloves with multiple liners feel bulky or uncomfortable, that is not the case here, trying these gloves on I was genuinely impressed with the comfort level. Really nothing to complain about here, just a good, solid pair of gloves. As for sizing, in most gloves I wear a size L, in these I tried on a size 9 and found a great fit. If you are looking for a pair of comfortable and yet protective touring gloves I would say these are definitely worth taking a look at. In places where winters don’t get too cool they could easily be a year round glove. :: Damir 1/25/25
