Sizing Information

Most Dainese gloves we’ve carried run snug like other European brands, but this particular style seems to run “normally” like other US brands. So choose the size you normally wear.

Hopefully you’ve had some experience with buying gloves and can choose based upon the fit of a previous pair. If you have no previous experience with glove sizing, go here for help.

Our Two Cents

The Dainese Como gloves are a great option for someone looking for a simple, no frills cool weather glove.

The back of the hand features soft inserts over the knuckle for a little protection in the case of a fall. The neoprene cuffs are slightly longer than wrist length so you can get some coverage either over or under from your jacket sleeve but they are not a full on gauntlet length. The cuff is securely fastened by a hook and loop closure. The palms feature an Amica suede reinforcement to help improve the life expectancy of the glove in this area that typically sees the most wear. There is a small strip of reflective material down the outer edge of the palm so you have some night or rain visibility to other drivers as well. The back of the left thumb has a visor wiper, but the location isn’t where we typically see the wiper in the past on other brands like Held. This wiper is kind of in the middle of the back of the thumb, so while it might take some getting used to if you have had a pair with it on the side of the index finger or thumb I think this positioning is a little more natural for a quick wipe without the need to reposition the hand. The index finger and thumb each have some material overlays so they will work with smart phones/GPS devices and it seems to work well on Android but is hit and miss with iPhones here in the office. The thermal padding in the gloves also makes it a little difficult to have a precision touch on the devices.

The Gore-Tex membrane ensures waterproof breathability and combined with the Dexfil® padding these gloves should keep you warm and dry in to fairly cool temperatures. I’d say they would be great for cool to cold temperatures depending on your personal affinity for cold weather. They won’t keep you as warm as a heated pair but they should do the trick on most rides. :: Mike, 12-14-21
