Sizing Information

We find REVIT gloves run a bit on the snug side as compared to most US based brands. The fit is very similar to Alpinestars which also fit more snugly than other brands of gloves. The tendency to run small is not so noticeable that we’d advise you to buy one size larger, but if you are sometimes in between sizes, your best shot would be to choose larger. Hopefully you’ve had some experience with buying gloves and can choose based upon the fit of a previous pair. If you have no previous experience with glove sizing, go here for help.

Our Two Cents

REVIT’s Spitfire gloves are their mid-level race-ready full gauntlet gloves. These gloves have a very impressive list of protective capabilities that lifts them above “entry level” race gloves.

REVIT has a very nice feature summary down below, so pick through that to get a good idea of the nuts and bolts here. This glove is a good blend of protective features that will work well for more serious street/sport riders or track riders. One key feature is materials. The palm side of this glove is kangaroo hide which is known to be a premium material found in almost all high-end race gloves. Note the rest of the glove is goat which is very good too. Very expensive race gloves could be all kangaroo, but to keep the price reasonable, these gloves offer the mix of kangaroo and goat.

I like the double slider in the palm area. Again, almost all race gloves have the large hard sliders built into the protection scheme and this glove has two in the palm. With two you can hit the ground from more angles and still be on a slider rather than leather. And because its two sliders instead of one bigger one, there is some flexibility left too.

Like any good race glove, this one has a positive closure at the wrist to keep the gloves on your hand in case of a fall, and the gauntlet has the usual double wrapping cuff closure so you can get a good fit over your race suit or jacket sleeve. On the outside of the wrist is a very substantial metal protector similar to that over the knuckles (aluminum over absorbing materials I think). Those protectors look sharp with a matte paint scheme.

I found this glove to be very comfortable and easy to move around in as new. Keep in mind, this glove does not have a Kevlar fabric liner like you might find in race gloves at the top end of the scale, but I think the combination of protective features here is very robust and affordable for many people. :: Paul, 02-05-19

REVIT says: The Spitfire gloves are designed to match our Spitfire one-piece suit. They fill the gap between our Stellar 2 gloves and our high-end Jerez Pro gloves. Thanks to a balanced combination of cowhide and goatskin the Spitfire gloves supply the perfect contact with the handlebars while providing the abrasion resistance necessary for a racing glove. The knuckles are protected by a ventilated dual-comp protector, and another dual-comp protector sits at the cuff. TPU hard-shell protectors are incorporated on the palm and the knuckles of the fingers. The entire glove is held together by our extremely strong PWR|yarn stitched on the outside for comfort. For easy adjustment, we gave the Spitfire the double cuff closure that we also use in our top end Jerez Pro. Stretch at the fingers allow the rider to curl his hands around the bars with the freedom to operate the clutch or brakes in a split second. Elastic at the back of the hand and at the wrist offer further necessary freedom of movement. The adjustment strap at the wrist ensures the gloves stay put in case of an unfortunate mishap.
