Sizing Information

This jacket is offered in “alpha” sizing. You should be able to choose the size you normally wear in men’s clothing. The overall cut of this jacket is trim and the jacket tapers from the chest to the waist. It is designed to be a snug fit. Evaluate the fit of a jacket like this while reaching forward to the handlebars. Since the sleeves are “pre-curved” to accommodate a sport bike riding stance, the jacket will seem small in the chest when you are standing with arms down.

If you have a bit of a belly, we urge you to check your belly measurement and make sure that the jacket you choose is large enough for your chest AND belly. The max belly for any jacket will about six inches less than the max chest size. Example: The size XL will accommodate a 46 chest and a 40 belly. If you are sometimes between sizes, we’d suggest choosing the larger.

Size Max Chest Max Belly
Small 40 34
Medium 42 36
Large 44 38
XL 46 40
XXL 48 42
XXXL 50 44

Our Two Cents

The Magnum jacket takes almost all the good features of the various leather sport jackets on the market and rolls them into one affordable design. It comes complete with a full complement of CE rated armor in the shoulders, elbows and back. You also get a thermal liner that converts from a vest-type liner to a full sleeve liner. Neat idea! This arrangement will provide insulation, and along with the solid leather construction, you’ll have a jacket that will be great for cold weather. And when things warm up, you can remove the thermal liner, and open the two zippered bicep vents on the front and the two large rear vents on the back. The zippered pockets on the jacket use a mesh liner, so they double as zippered vents too (as long as you secure the contents of your pockets :). So that is a whopping six vents on the front and two large vents on the back, which is more than any other leather jacket of this type. A few other nice features: plenty of pockets, each zipper pull on the jacket body has a handy plastic zipper pull extension and there is extensive use of reflective materials for night time visibility. This jacket also has a full circumference zipper for attachment to compatible TourMaster or Cortech pants. Since the pants are constructed with armor and Velcro for pucks, you’ll have a track ready suit—an ideal arrangement for the street rider who needs a full suit for occasional amateur track use. Read my sizing info above carefully before buying this jacket. The armor system includes memory foam padding in the shoulders which is quite substantial itself, and then there is an additional removable CE armor piece in the shoulder as well. With all the armor and vest installed, the jackets are a very snug fit. You can use the chart above to choose a size based upon your chest and belly measurements.

Note on Our Photo Gallery: The product feature pictures were taken with a “black” color which is now obsolete. The jacket is only available in a “flat black” which is a matte finish black. However we are still displaying the photos of the old black color so you can see the features of the jacket (which remain the same).
