REV'IT! Move H2O Jacket (Sold Out)

We tried a size Medium and an XL on our Fit Check mannequins Huey and Dewey. Those are sizes they usually wear in an “American” cut jacket. This jacket from REV’IT! fits well enough and it looks sharp, but there is very minimal room left. Many brands from Europe exhibit a fit like this, such as Alpinestars. If you look at REV’IT!’s published size chart (below), you’ll see their estimate of chest size is at least a full size smaller than what you’d find in equivalent US designed clothing.

We measured each jacket and tried them on and we’ve concluded that the fit is just about one-half size smaller than what you would find in ordinary US men’s clothing. The amount the jackets are undersized is not as severe as REV’IT!’s size chart would have you believe. For most people, this means you’ll be able to buy the size you normally wear if you want a snug, European style fit. If you want a looser American fit, or if you are between sizes, choose one size larger.

Below is the REV’IT!-published chest size for each jacket’s alpha size along with our estimate of max chest and max waist/belly. This particular style is not a “sport” oriented style so there is not a lot of taper from chest to waist, and with a style like this you can effectively tailor the fit of the waist with the side waist adjusters, which makes the jacket look great and fit great, so don’t worry if your waist/belly is smaller than the max. We only list this for those that have a belly so they can know what minimum size they’d have to choose to fit the belly.

Note: Add about 1” to your chest and belly measurements if you plan to add a back protector. Add an additional 1” inch to your chest if you will add the chest protectors.

The REV’IT! Move H2O jacket is a 3/4 style jacket built for wet weather riding in warm to cold weather.

The Move has a removable full sleeve thermal liner that snaps in near the main zipper and at each cuff. With the liner removed the interior of the jacket is a soft liner that feels nice against the skin. There is a short connection zipper for connecting to your favorite riding pants or you can connect with jeans by using either of the REV’IT! Safeway belts (sold separately, see related products below).

The Move H2O is fully waterproof thanks to a hydratex® G-liner that is installed between the outer shell which is a heavy duty ripstop polyester, and the soft interior lining. There are two large chest vents that can be pinned open with a snap strap to maximize airflow. This airflow moves across the hydratex® liner allowing it to breath and then exits the rear of the jacket between the shoulders. The exhaust vents are always open and are covered by a storm flap from above.

The jacket has great storage options with two water resistant pockets at the belly, one large pocket on the lower back, one pocket on the interior of the removable thermal liner, and a waterproof pocket on each side of the interior of the shell of the jacket. The armor is REV’IT!’s SEEFLEX™ CE-level 2 at the elbows and shoulders. This armor is fairly flexible for level 2 and still lightweight. The back pocket is prepared for the REV’IT! SEESOFT™ CE-level 2 back protector which is sold separately (see related products below). Bright reflective strips are either side of the chest and on the shoulders for nighttime visibility. The Move H2O jacket is also very adjustable with sliding adjusters at the waist and forearms, snap adjusters at the biceps, hook and loop cuff adjusters, a drawcord at the hem, and a two position collar snap.

The REV’IT! Move H2O jacket is a great option for riders that expect to regularly encounter wet or cold weather while they’re riding. Limited venting options mean this jacket is best suited for cold to warm weather. :: Mike, 08/12/2022
