In recent history it seems that Scorpion gloves are fitting just a bit more snug overall. We often point out that Alpinestars and REV’IT! gloves fit just a touch smaller than the US based gloves like Tour Master, Joe Rocket, etc, and it feels like these gloves fit more like the European brands.
The fit is not so much smaller that I’d recommend that you buy a larger size (especially if a snug fit is preferred) but it is noticeable enough to say that if you are sometimes between sizes, then you should probably choose the larger of the two. Hopefully you’ve had some experience with buying gloves and can choose based upon the fit of a previous pair. If you have no previous experience with glove sizing, go here for help.
Our Two Cents
These new Bixby gloves feel like a great leather style for street riders. Overall they are less sport and more retro or cruiser. There is a bit of raised padding on the knuckles and backs of the fingers, but it is a soft type and very flexible.
The overall quality seems great and there should be no break in difficulties. Take a look at our close-up pics… the leather reinforcement pieces on the palm and the side of the pinkie finger have a greyish tint. And that is the aesthetic that gave me the retro vibe. And obviously the brown color with black trim definitely speaks retro.
Overall, very nice gloves. :: Paul, 09-15-15
