Our Two Cents

The Sena Prism Tube is a simple lightweight action camera that is more compact than the Sena Prism. I got a chance to test one out and I was really impressed with the quality of the video. The camera does not come with the Micro SD card so you will need to buy one if you do not already have one. The camera was easy to install and only took a few minutes. Once installed you have to play the guessing game on where to point the camera. It does not have a display that shows what the camera sees, but that did not take long to line up. I actually got it right on the first try. I was really impressed with the quality of the picture and how quickly the camera adjusted to different lighting conditions. The only problem I came across was the time/date function of the camera. In the quick start guide there are instructions on how to set the time and date for the camera. I could never get it to work. I contacted Sena Tech support and was informed the current version of the firmware does not support the time/date function but they would be adding it in a future update. To operate the camera there is a simple on/off switch. You slide the switch forward to turn it on and back to turn it off. That’s it! Super easy. Once you turn the camera on you hear a voice prompt come through the speaker “Camera On” and then it begins recording. When you shut it off another voice prompt “Camera Off” comes on right after the recording stops. The Prism Tube comes with two microphones. One is built into the tube and one you can plug into the camera and mount inside your helmet. When you plug in the mic to the camera it cuts off the mic built into the tube. Sena has also integrated noise reduction to prevent excessive wind noise from coming up on the video. :: -Aaron 04/26/2016
