All the reviews of this helmet were done with early SpeedStrap helmets. All the helmets available now are D rings. The problem I had was mostly the chin strap. The stap is so short with the D rings that the plastic snap hasn't cleared the ring before you need to cinch it down. It also leaves a lot of strap on your neck without padding. Having to tighten it so much also emphasizes the chin pressure points. The 1200 is not a step up from the 1100. The 1100 fits better, is more comfortable, has the same features and costs a lot less. I returned the 1200 for an 1100 and got a better helmet. Try the fit before you buy it because the We The Fast wasn't better for me.
