Armor fit right into the sleeve and once I put it on, I felt comfortable and immediately safer than the foam back (of course). I also flexed the insert and punched it a few times just to get a sense of its flexibility which is great but not flimsy which is good of course and although punching it isn't exactly hitting the ground at 50+mph, it is something that is very sturdy.
