I've been using the Joe Rocket RKT-201 Gothic Helmet for three days now. My previous helmet is an open-faced HJC FS-3. The RKT-201 carbonfibre material made the full-faced helmet weigh much lighter than my trusty FS-3, and was comfortable on my head. The small size is a good fit for my head. HJC and Joe Rocket helmets are technically manufactured by the same people, so the size was perfect. This factored into a very good muffled helmet that kept wind noise to a minimum. The new padding presses into my cheeks but not uncomfortably and I expect the material to soften with time. Singapore is a hot country, so I was concerned that the helmet will be too warm. But the ventilation, minimal as they were, worked fine. I could feel wind whistling in the back of my head, cooling it down as I travelled. The overall design and visor features are great as well. My friends all think this helmet looks hardcore, and it's a nice bonus as my main priority was safety. All in all, great buy thanks to the closeout sale! I also got a pair of FirstGear Ultra Mesh Gloves for Women sized small too. They are one of the few brands that make *actual* small gloves for tiny people like me, and I've got a Mojave pair that I still like very much. The Ultra Mesh is a cheaper, lighter version of the mesh Mojave, and slightly stiff to wear - possibly due, in part, to the mesh upper half. The leather padding on the palm side tends to get sticky and clings to my rubber handlebars. It's slightly pricier than I might have paid for it, but the fit is good.
