The Alpinestars Compression Shorts are comfortable and add some high-density foam protection to the sides of your hips and back side. The material otherwise is flexible but seems it would withstand some tearing if put to the test. These are ideal to wear under jeans when you want a little bit more protection and comfort. They do help absorb some of the road vibration and make the ride a little more cushioned.
