I received my new Sidi Vertigo Lei boots today. Having tried both "unisex" and men's boots, I never found a pair that fit just right. I took a chance with these and couldn't be more pleased. The design is just feminine enough to distinguish them as women's boots, and the fit is awesome. No sacrifices were made in quality to design these specifically for women (and they don't have the dumbass high heel that other women-specific "race" boots tout as fashion-forward and functional)! With easy-on zipper, adjustable calf, and air vents in addition to all the protection, I would pit these boots against any others on the track or street and bet they'd come out on top every time. You'll want to try these on though - I wear a 9.5 in US women's shoes, but a 40 in most European shoes. The Sidi size chart put my foot at a 42 or 43, but I decided on the 41 (split the difference, right?) and am glad I did. They fit perfectly - just snug enough with plenty of room and a narrow toe box that you just won't find in a men's boot. Overall, a 10 out of 10. And the NE closeout price makes them just that much sweeter.
