The snake skin TechSpec tank grips are exactly what I was looking for. They are very high quality and help me stay in place during hard braking and cornering. I highly recommend using a heat gun to warm up the pads and surface sufficiently so that they will stick well to the curvature of the tank. Installed on an 03 SV650S.
