Sizing Information
We tried on both size choices and found them to be about right when compared to our normal shirt sizes. I wouldn’t recommend these for those larger than XL or those who have bigger than average guns.
Our Two Cents
For 2016, FirstGear has re-worked its entire line of Basegear underwear. The new line is all called 37.5 Basegear. What the heck is that you ask? The Basegear line is designed to make you more comfortable when riding by controlling the “micro climate” that exists under your clothing next to the skin. The material wicks moisture and controls humidity, and FirstGear says that humans are most comfortable with a relative humidity close to the skin of 37.5%. So there you go…. the origin of the name. The materials used are a mix of stretch fabric, a “waffle weave” fabric and thin neoprene-feeling materials (that face forward for wind block). The overall look is sharp and this gear has a high quality look and feel.
These arm warmers are nicely built and you could use them for any sort of sport or leisure activity. They have grippy dots on the bicep end to hold them up on your arm. Very nice!
