Sizing Information

We tried on these boots and found them to fit as expected, so we recommend you order the size you normally wear in a men’s street shoe. The width is “medium” or D by my estimation.

Side note: For some reason, the styling of this boot makes my feet look smaller than they usually do. So if you have big feet and would like to see smaller feet at the ends of your legs, give these a try!

Our Two Cents

The Urge Overkill boot is an all purpose street riding boot. The feel is much like a hiker. The neck is close to your ankle (no tucking in of sport pants), so they should work fine with any sort of regular riding pants or jeans. The boots have a waterproof membrane to keep out water. The gaiter at the opening of the boot comes up very close to the top of the boot so even if you step in a deep puddle, you should be fine. The outside is modern and sporty and is a mix of mesh, suede and leather. The boots are surprisingly sturdy feeling and the sole is stiff enough to resist bending when you put weight on the pegs. Speaking of the sole, I like the way it comes up the sides on each side of the heel and the front of the foot. That type of construction will give some added protection to the side of the foot in case of a fall. The boots have a bit of foam padding on the inside of the ankle (although it is positioned a bit low for that purpose… oh well). The two side buckles are sturdy and not cheap feeling, which is good to see, especially on such an affordable boot. You can take the “View Larger Images” link above to see some good close-ups of the boot and check out the height of the top and the thickness of the heel. Overall a sharp boot with surprising quality for the money. :: Paul, 10-01-13
