These gloves are consistent with the major American based brands we carry such as FirstGear, Tour Master, Joe Rocket, etc, so hopefully you’ve had some experience with buying gloves and can choose based upon the fit of a previous pair. If you have no previous experience with glove sizing, go here for help. If anything, these gloves run a bit larger than usual, but not a lot, so I wouldn’t advise choosing a size down from your normal, but if you are between sizes, I’d advise to choose the smaller.

Just as an FYI, you may have previous experience with European designed brands such as Alpinestars and REV’IT! which run about one half size smaller, size-for-size, than the American brands. It is not a universally true fact, but generally holds for most styles. So if a particular size in either of those brands is roomy on you, then you’d probably want to go down one full size in this style.

These Twist of Fate 3.0 RR gloves are very nice for the money for sure. Before I started to write this review I was struck by how comfortable the cut and leather was in the hand area. The externally sewn seams on the fingers always feel more comfortable to me than the box fingers where the seam is turned inside. But I just now read the feature list and notice the palm leather is Pittards brand leather and nearly every glove I ever tried with Pittards was comfortable to me right away (mostly I’ve seen this in Held gloves). Not that overall weight is an indicator of much, but these gloves are quite heavy as compared to others. It is mostly because of the thickness of the leather. And even though the leather is soft and pliable, I bet it would do a good job in protecting you in a fall. For the price range, this glove also has a lot of protectors… I see one pretty large hard plastic protector in the palm which is important so that when you instinctively reach out as you approach the pavement, your hands will more likely slide on the pavement rather than “grabbing” and causing a twist injury. There are also hard plastic impact protectors on the outside of the wrists, back of the knuckles and backs of each finger. Even the outside of the pinkie and thumb are fitted with armor pieces. The gloves secure to your hand with a Velcro close strap at the wrist which is covered by a flap (so it doesn’t come loose in a fall) and the gauntlet has a two-way Velcro close to allow you to adjust for varying sleeve arrangements (either over or under a sleeve).
