- Riders will sometimes need to change the cheek pads that come installed in their helmets. Some people need a little more or less space, while others simply need to install a fresh set of pads for better comfort (and smell).
- The pads both come out and can be installed quite easily. Simply slide the pad into the shell and snap the closures into place.
- Use the chart below to figure out what size cheek pad you currently have based on your helmet size, and then pick a replacement set based on your need.
Please Note: We can ship Shoei products to addresses in the 50 US states only (per manufacturer’s restrictions).

Changing cheek pads to change the helmet fit: All sizes of cheek pads are interchangeable in all helmet sizes. Shoei offers sizes 33mm, 37mm, and 41mm in addition to the sizes listed above. These three extra sizes are for those wanting to adjust fit (if the 33mm and 37mm pads weren’t offered the only option for a fit change would be a 4mm jump which would be too much). To get MORE room in your helmet, you need to buy a SMALLER cheek pad. To get a TIGHTER fit, you need to buy a LARGER cheek pad. Example: If you have a size Large Multitec helmet, you have cheek pads that measure 35mm. If the helmet is too tight on you, a 31mm pad would give you more room.
