Our Two Cents

The FirstGear Fargo gloves are a good choice for a cold weather glove with a full leather back. The back of the hand is all leather, which does a great job blocking the wind and keeping your hands warm. The Fargo gloves also use a Hipora waterproof liner to keep your hands dry in the rain, and 40 gram Thinsulate insulation for warmth. I really like the wrist strap on these gloves, it is quick and easy to tighten, and there is also a draw cord in the gauntlet to seal out the elements. Reflective piping on the back of the gloves helps to keep you visible at night as well. The palm of the Fargo gloves is made of Clarino, which is a synthetic suede, and there is a silicone pattern on the first two fingers and tip of the thumb for improved grip. A visor wiper on the left thumb is a very nice feature for wet weather riding, simply swipe your left hand across your faceshield to clear up your vision. We have taken several pictures of these gloves in our studio, so be sure to click the “View Larger Images” link above to take a look.

The length of these gloves (gauntlet sleeve) protect your wrists and arms from cold wind when riding in colder weather, especially when going on the freeway. The gloves are insulated and warm enough, and I like having the non-slip texture on the grip. I can feel the controls on my bike well enough in these, and my riding companion is impressed by how more nimble these gloves are than his. (Read more...)
