Sizing Information

This jacket is sold in alpha sizes. You can go here for a conversion chart if you know your chest size. We recommend you measure your chest and belly to make sure you are selecting a jacket big enough to accommodate both. The belly size in this jacket will be about 6” less than the chest size (for example, a 46 jacket will have a max belly of about 40”).

Our Two Cents

The denim-like cotton outer shell of the Crossroads 2.0 is quite different from other textile jackets. It is soft and flexible, and feels very comfortable. My initial thought was that this thing would be really heavy if you got soaked in a shower, but Fieldsheer of course thought of that and has treated the cotton so that it is very water resistant. I tried it out here in the office and water just rolls right off. In addition to that, there is a built in Rainguard® liner which is 100% waterproof but breathable. The material this jacket is made of won’t block all the wind, but when it’s cold out, you can install the fully sleeved quilted liner for warmth. When things heat up, there are two torso vents and two rear exit vents which can be zipped open. The vents are pretty small so probably wouldn’t be too effective if it gets really warm out (you’ll want a mesh jacket for the higher temps). Fieldsheer claims good abrasion resistance and there is CE approved armor built in at the shoulders and elbows, as well as the SP Memory Foam® back pad. There are two snap positions on the waist and at the wrists so you can adjust the fit, and while there’s no zipper for pants attachment, there is a snap loop which can hook to a belt loop on jeans or other pants. There are two zippered hand warmer pockets on the front of this jacket as well as a full complement of interior pockets (1 document pocket, and cargo/cell phone pockets in the liner and built into the interior of the jacket itself). Overall this looks like it would be a very comfortable jacket that wouldn’t look too out of place when you’re off the bike either.
