Sizing Information

Many Alpinestars gloves run a bit snug as compared to other major brands we carry and this model seems to follow that trend also. I wouldn’t say it is enough to advise you to buy a size bigger than normal, especially if you prefer a snug fit, but if you find yourself between sizes, then you’ll definitely want to choose the larger. Our Two Cents

Wow, we have a BUNCH of different styles of short cuff gloves from all makers. I just had to count them… EIGHTY FIVE different models. Every now and then I have to step back and try to figure out where a model fits in the bigger scheme of things. Well, the S-Moto has been around for at least 5 years. The model previous to this one wasn’t a favorite of mine only because it had a a funky placement of one peice of armor that hurt my hand. Needless to say we didn’t sell a lot of those, but this glove I like. It has great styling and will appeal to those who like sport bikes and racy graphics. The Black/White and White/Black/Red are especially sharp. There is no doubt that Alpinestars makes high quality gloves. There are enough panels and shape to their patterns to make them fit your hand snugly, and they are pre-curved in all the right ways for motorcycling. These are primarily an all-leather design with molded protectors and padding to improve crash protection. They are easy-on/off and close with a Velcro strap at the wrist. The gloves have a few perforated leather panels to flow some air, but I’d guess these will be comfortable in cool to warm weather (but not hot or cold). Since they are an all-leather design, I advise having other waterproof gloves in reserve when it rains. I offered some fit advice above, so you can tell these are a snug fit type glove, but being a leather glove, they’ll mold to your hands and, in no time, fit like a glove (pardon the pun). :: 06-09-12
