Sizing Information
Choose the back protector size based upon the size of your jacket as follows:
For Men’s Alpha Sized Jackets: Choose size Medium to fit jacket sizes Medium and below. Choose size Large to fit jacket sizes Large or above.
For Men’s Euro Sized Jackets: Choose size Medium to fit jacket sizes 50 and below. Choose size Large to fit jacket sizes 52 or above.
Our Two Cents
The Alpinestars Bioarmor Back Protector Insert can be added to Alpinestars jackets or suit (that indicate they accept the back protector) for a substantial increase in protection. The Bioarmor Back Protector feels like it should do a great job absorbing and dispersing impacts, without adding too much bulk or stiffness to the jacket. The back of the protector is grooved for flexibility and perforated to promote air flow. At its thickest point (towards the top) we measured the bioarmor to be about 3/4 of an inch thick, while the majority of it is 1/2” thick or less.
