Sizing Information

Like most Alpinestars gloves, these gloves ran a bit smaller than most glove brands we carry. They are not a lot small and most people can choose the size they normally wear in gloves (especially if a snug fit is preferred). If you are sometimes between sizes, then choose the larger of the two. Hopefully you’ve had some experience with buying gloves and can choose based upon the fit of a previous pair. If you have no previous experience with glove sizing, go here for help.

Our Two Cents

What a strange choice in name for a glove?? (definition: One chosen or appointed to judge or decide a disputed issue; an arbitrator.). Oh well, aside from the name, I really like this Arbiter glove. It is lightweight and should be very comfortable in mild or hot weather. I like the large pull tab that lets you pull the gloves on your hand without yanking at seams that might otherwise give way after a while. The combination of leather and stretchy mesh makes this glove a great fit. Goat skin in the palm area is thick yet durable which makes it a common choice for motorcycle gloves. The palms are reinforced with a suede-like material in the areas of high wear and possible impact. The back of the hand is protected with two large molded knuckle armor pieces. They look sharp and are very comfortable on the hand. The two piece design is unique and allows the protector to flex a bit when you make a fist. The wrist closes with a small Velcro strap…the new “micro” style Velcro too, which helps prevent the thing from snagging on your other clothing. We’ve got some good close-up pics in our photo gallery including a night shot to show you the reflectivity of the piping. A light, short cuff glove like this might just become your favorite because they are easy and comfortable to wear and can be stored easily in a small pocket somewhere when not in use. :: Paul, 10-24-12

I did a good amount of research before buying a new set of summer gloves, and I decided on the Astar Arbiters. I like the combination of leather, mesh, and Clarino. I recommend going up one size from what you normally wear, and even then they are a bit on the tight side. (Read more...)
