Sizing Information
Below is sizing information as supplied by Joe Rocket. We feel the chart accurately reflects the suit’s fit. Sizing on these suits is roomy as compared to most other styles. Our experience has been that most suits will fit more snugly than a corresponding size jacket and many people would have to go up in size, but these suits are fitting pretty true to the stated chest size. Pick a suit size based upon your chest measurement or your coat size if you know it. And check to make sure that your belly size is not too large for the suit—otherwise you’ll have to go with a larger suit to accommodate the belly. Max belly for each size suit is approximately 5” less than the suit size (example: a 48 suit will handle up to a 43” belly).

Our Two Cents
The Speedmaster series is one of the best values in 1 piece race suits. The 6.0 sports a cleaner look and very good abrasion and impact protection for racing, track days, or aggressive street riding. Ceramic knee sliders are included and have a fairly large Velcro attachment area so you can personalize the placement. The armor for the shoulders, elbows, and knees are all CE rated. Additionally there is foam armor in the chest and hips and a foam spine pad which feels quite substantial. The speed hump not only helps with aerodynamics at higher speeds, but also forms a bridge between your back and the back of your helmet. This prevents the head from being wrenched forward by the helmet if you land on your back. The 1.2-1.4mm construction feels very sturdy, and the placement of stretch panels make the suit very comfortable even before break in. Leather stretch panels are found behind the shoulders, at the lower back, and above the knee. The inner thigh, back of the knee, and the inner elbow areas all get Kevlar reinforced stretch panels which is much more comfortable at the joints. The only real downside to the Speedmaster is the suit liner is not removable so cleaning the suit is a bit more of an arduous task. The front of the torso and the upper thighs are perforated which will help keep you cool on warmer days. There are also molded shoulder protectors with titanium inserts which are vented as well. For the price this is an excellent looking suit with great build quality and sharp looks. Be sure to take a closer look by clicking the “View Larger Images” link above.
